Back then in November 2020, we released the new Heatmap as an option of the Point Map (you can check our old update here).
However, we soon realized that having two Heatmaps would confuse a lot of our users. Therefore, we decided to only keep the new Heatmap in Holistics. Please refer to this document for all the differences between the legacy and the new Heatmap: https://www.holistics.io/blog/whats-new-in-heatmap/
Our decision comes with 3 main changes:
The new Heatmap will be separated into a completely new chart type. You will no longer find it as an option of Point Map.
Any legacy Heatmaps created before 1st March will still exist. You can still explore, edit and save them like before.
When you explore or edit a legacy Heatmap, you will first see that there are 2 Heatmap icons.
Second, you will see a small blue banner that notifies you of the new Heatmap. Clicking on
Switch to the new version will change your legacy to the new Heatmap. All data will remain the same. If you do not want to switch to the new Heatmap, you can close the edit/explore modal.
